The Dunhill Hotel Earns TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award “Hall of Fame”

TripAdvisor®, the world’s largest travel site, has inducted The Dunhill Hotel into its Certificate of Excellence “Hall of Fame”. The “Hall of Fame” is an elite recognition for hotels worldwide that have received TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence award for five consecutive years. Only 26 (or 13%) of Charlotte’s lodging destinations achieved “Hall of Fame” status from the 192 lodging choices listed in by the site. The Certificate of Excellence award celebrates superior hospitality service and is awarded to TripAdvisor locations that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on the site. The award is based on the quality, quantity and placement of reviews and opinions submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period, as well as a business’s tenure and ranking on the Popularity Index on the site.

 

 

Aug. 12: The Asbury’s Collaborative Series Dinner With NoDa Brewing

If you haven’t attended one of The Asbury’s Collaborative Series dinners, you’re missing out! The next one is Wednesday, Aug. 12, and its “collaborator” is Charlotte’s NoDa Brewing Company. Come for three courses and four beers for just $50. Enjoy crawfish hushpuppies paired with NoDa’s Cavu blonde ale; Herb Roasted Pork Loin with pretzel späztle, grilled peppers, apricot + rosemary mostarda with Hop, Drop ‘N Roll®, the 2014 World Beer Cupâ Gold Award Winner for American-style IPAs. Aug. 23 Dinner in Raleigh Will Benefit Charleston SC’s Emanuel African American Methodist Episcopal Church    

The chefs from Midtown Grille in Raleigh, NC have invited The Asbury’s Chris Coleman, Daniel Doyle from Poogan’s Porch (Charleston, SC) and Scott James from the Angus Barn (Raleigh, N.C.) for a “North Cooks South” fundraiser to benefit the Emanuel African American Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, SC, one of the oldest black churches in the United States and where suspect Dylann Roof, 21, opened fire on the church members in July.
